Legal Counsel Maria Nowakowska-Sauer has been running her own practice since 2010, however she had already begun acquiring professional legal experience in 2005 with one of the Tri-city’s leading law firm. Born and raised in Gdańsk, repeat winner of a scholarship awarded by the Mayor of the City of Gdańsk, also a recipient of the MENiS (Minister of Education and Sport) scholarship, she graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Gdańsk in 2004, and after completing the legal counsel’s vocational training at the District Chamber of Legal Counsels in Gdańsk in 2009 she sat the legal counsel’s exam. She is a member of the OIRP (District Chamber of Legal Counsels) in Gdańsk (membership number GD/1925). She has an excellent command of the English language, including legal terminology.
Legal Counsel Maria Nowakowska-Sauer specializes in public procurement law.
Since the beginning of her professional career she has offered legal assistance regarding proceedings for the award of public procurement contracts, preparation of legal protection measures, representing clients in appeals proceedings before the National Appeals Chamber, as well as in proceedings arising from complaints against the Chamber’s rulings.
She also ensures legal assistance during the execution phase of the public procurement contracts and any conflicting issues which may arise. She acquired experience in the above-mentioned field whilst providing legal services for clients from the construction, medical, telecommunications, education, architecture sectors, as well as manufacturers of measuring equipment and industrial refrigeration amongst others.
She also has extensive experience in the following areas:
- providing legal advice and representing entrepreneurs as well as private persons before public administration authorities, voivodship administrative courts and the Supreme Administrative Court in proceedings falling within the scope of widely understood administrative law, including among others planning and spatial development, building regulations, environmental law and food law,
- representing entrepreneurs as well as private persons before common courts of law in civil matters (including business lawsuits), providing legal advice in matters of civil law, reviewing contracts, real estate and investment projects due diligence reports.
